A Handbag With Ancient Symbols, a Must!

When I saw this handbag with the pre-Hispanic symbols, I knew that I wanted one. Then when I looked at the close views of the workmanship, I was sold. When I received the handbag, I knew that I had made a great choice. The leather tooling is outstanding and the bag is very well made. The shoulder strap is very long so I will probably have it shortened by a leather craftsman from my area. I haven't decided yet.

I LOVE this bag!

This bag is now my favorite purse! I wanted something I could use daily to remind me of my trip to Peru. It is so well made and looks just like the picture. This isn't a large bag but there's room for a slim wallet, phone, and a few personal items. The additional zippered pocket on the outside is a nice touch - it's easily big enough for a cell phone and the adjustable strap completes it. I highly recommend this bag!

I have a pretty substantial collection of folk art, and at the time that I purchased these, I had only four items in my collection which arguably depicted people. I tend to much prefer animals, plants, and geometric forms. However I really like Quipac's earrings and his page is one I check almost every month to see if he has new work. When I saw these, these struck me not so much as people as representations of a culture and a costume displayed in a beautiful geometric pattern. They were also on sale at the time! I got them, and have them displayed on a jewelry tree I also got from Novica, where they are accompanied by bats from Indonesia and some other work by the same artist depicting a leaf and a flower.
