Mictlantecuhtli, lord of the dead, stares out from his multiple skulls in this ceramic mask handcrafted by the Angel Ceron Artisan Association of Mexico. Mictlantecuhtli's main face is half skull and half man, with a serpent slithering down the side of his face. A multitude of smaller skulls complete the mask. The mask's details are hand painted in a myriad of earthy colors. A small loop at the top of the mask allows for it to easily be hung on a wall.

Inspired by the cultural tradition of Janger dancing, Nyoman Indrawati Subrata of the Subrata Family creates this stunning wall sculpture. Working with a single piece of suar wood, she hand carves the image of two dancers in elaborate headdresses who touch cheeks. Popular with Balinese youths, Janger is typically performed by ten people who are divided into two groups: the female dancers, known as Janger, and the male dancers, known as Kecak.

The artisan carries on the extraordinary art work of her late father, Nyoman Subrata.

Seen in silhouette, dragons seem to take flight from the roof of Wat Rong Khun. The temple, located in Chiang Rai, is the work of Chalermchai Kositpipat. White represents Buddha's purity, and white glass insets symbolize the Master's brightly shining wisdom. Begun in 1998, the temple's unusual contemporary architecture captivates photographer Ryan Chappell.

He prints the color photograph on Fujicolor crystal archive paper and mounts it with a mat board passe-partout.
