Beautiful, faceted ovals of garnet are the stars of this pair of hoop earrings presented by Alok Jain of India. The garnet gemstones are set in sterling silver bands curved into hoops and featuring openwork in a swirl motif.

Ezequiel Tapia handcrafts his design from 925 sterling silver and embellishes the surface with curved linear designs. They feature a rounded garnet on the front and a contrasting reconstituted turquoise on the underside.

Ezequiel learned silversmithing from his father - a master Taxco jeweler. After studying mechanical engineering and running his own industrial maintenance company, Ezequiel decided to return to his hometown to continue working on his father's craft. His designs feature references to global cultures as well as traditional Mexican iconography.

These red garnet hoop earrings look like they came out of a raja's treasure chest. Designed by Neetu Barathi of New Delhi, they feature a dot-and-strip pattern on sterling silver crescents, accented with a gemstone and small triangles.
