Indian artisans Rajnandinee and Srabonti design a multi-strand necklace in joyful shades of deep green and grass green. Each of the five strands are made by hand by covering plastic beads with recycled cotton cloth and then tying them off one by one. A sliding bead allows for control of the length. Use this necklace to accessorize a dress or pantsuit for the office or make a real statement by wearing it with a classic plain white t-shirt.

Orange and contrasting beige blend harmoniously in this handmade three-strand necklace from Indian artisans Rajnandinee and Srabonti. Two strands of plastic beads are covered with orange recycled polyester fabric and individually tied off; they cradle a third strand in beige. The three strands unite on each end in an off-white cord which features a sliding bead that allows the length to be adjusted.

From Rajnandinee and Srabonti of Kolkata, India, comes this handcrafted three-strand fabric necklace in deep, rich purple and maroon tones. "We are trying to promote Bengal crafts and hope to generate more employment and help revive Bengal's rich heritage," says the artisan duo. Recycled polyester cloth is used to cover plastic beads; every bead is separated from the next with tied-off cotton thread. The two purple strands and one maroon strand are bound together with purple cords. A sliding bead allows the necklace to be made longer or shorter.

Indian artisans Rajnandinee and Srabonti hail from Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal, where, they say, they, "...were brought up in Bengal tradition...We love Indian arts and crafts." Here they display that love as well as a concern for the environment when they present a three-strand necklace featuring recycled fabric. Consisting of plastic beads that are wrapped in polyester material and then tied off one by one to form the strands, the necklace has an adjustable length by way of a sliding red bead. With its regal shades of maroon and royal blue, this necklace is a great accent for a daytime or office ensemble.
