But the Orozco family of artisans in Mexico do not only care about design --they also care about sustainability, and that is why they craft the jewelry box entirely from recycled cardboard with a papier mache technique.

Mexican artisans Rosy and Daniel transform recycled copper into a handsome unisex cuff bracelet. The curved band is scored with vertical lines, creating a pattern similar to an armadillo's shell. This versatile design works well with everyday outfits or dressing up an evening look.

The artisans recommend wiping the bracelet with a soft, damp cloth for cleaning, immediately drying it, and then polishing it with a bit of wood wax to help it maintain its color and shine.

"There are very few natural displays of color that are as beautiful as the Aurora Borealis. That ethereal show of color produced by the Northern Lights inspired the design of our 'Aurora' collection," Cantel Blown Glass Artisans explain. They craft the tumblers by hand, using traditional blown glass techniques featuring swirling lines of color like orange, yellow, green and red underscored by aqua blue.

Because each piece is handmade, shape and size can vary slightly and tiny bubbles may appear within the glass. This exemplifies the hand-blown technique, making every piece a unique example of blown glass craftsmanship.
