handmade box

I'm delighted with this gorgeous soapstone box. I have purchased several other items from Gulam in the past, and I love his work, but this box is so far my favorite. In fact, I love it so much that I've ordered a second one.

It's amazing how a piece of clay can be transformed into heirloom. The unpainted clay surfaces reveal a creamy white clay that must be unique to the artist's region. The swirling painted design is bold & elegant. The beading outlining the design gives it depth and nice texture. The glaze makes the colors vibrant. The box was shipped promptly. It was carefully packaged. Sheets of paper were expertly molded to the shape of the box to pad it for shipping. It was fun unrolling everything to discover my "prize". Please continue this design in other products in your line. I hope you restock the wall cross! I highly recommend this seller and would gladly be a repeat customer.

I bought this as a gift for my aunt and she loved it. The craftsmanship is of very high quality and it was relatively inexpensive for such a well made handmade item. I recommend this artisan.
