Inspired by fall, Balinese artisan Endah creates this elegant pair of shorts. Crafted from soft woven rayon, these shorts are decorated using the batik method; a wax resist is stamped by hand onto the fabric before it is treated with dye, resulting in a deep shade of midnight with snow white leaf and floral motifs. The shorts feature a drawstring waist and two pockets on the sides.

With cool hues of blue and white, two luscious flowers are handcrafted of petite glass beads to grace the ears with their petals. Adriana Trejo of Mexico diligently applies each bead, using the artisanal skills that she has learned from her parents and grandparents. Each earring dangles from a hook of sterling silver.

Embroidered by hand, the first flowers of the year blossom at winter's end. Shalabh showcases the legendary white on white chikankari work of Lucknow with this beautiful blouse. The chic top features smocking and a drawstring at the neckline, and short puffed sleeves.

Thai artisan Wilai uses a unique eco-printing process known as ouke--a Northern Thai word that means "ripen by heat"--to create the pattern on this belted shift dress. The artisan steams a selection of leaves and flowers, imprinting their image all over the cotton fabric. Two side pockets and a button closure complete the dress with subtle, welcome details.
