Featuring a practical zippered pocket inside, this charming design encapsulates the quiet embrace of winter in Armenia, representing resilience and endurance. An ethereal figure, wrapped in gusts of wind, cradles a landscape of snow-covered trees, rolling hills and ancient castles. The stark contrast of white against the dark background mirrors the peaceful hush of winter nights, where the land rests in anticipation of spring’s return. Combining shades of pale gray and black, Gobah Tengey-Seddoh creates an outstanding example of kente cloth art. Gray derives its symbolism from ash, used for healing and cleansing rituals.
