In traditional jali style (where an item is ornamented with perforations or lattice work), the artisan carves an elephant with his trunk raised. In a remarkable feat of expert carving, a second tiny elephant can be seen within the sculpture's belly. White plastic is used for the elephant's tusks and toenails.
