Here in the USA in the 1970's this was called gauze fabric. One of my favs. I try to buy 100% cotton always. Like these shorts so much! They are comfy! Have 1 in each available color. I will say that I am glad that I read the reviews, as a couple reviewers mentioned that they do run a bit large. I ordered a size down for the perfect fit.
