The mornings in the Costa Rican region are colorful, serene and peaceful, inspiring Susana Rubinstein to create this majestic home accent to add that tropical essence to your interiors. Made from iron and laurel wood, this key rack features a gorgeous leafy pattern painted by hand in a palette of green, yellow and brown hues, all on a white base color that allows for a glorious illusion.

White in color with a distressed finish, this sign features multiple tiers handcrafted from Indonesian albesia wood that are strung together on an agel grass cord. Presented by Ketut Karsini, the sign reads "May your days be merry and bright!"

This long, narrow face could appear in the trunk of a tree, crowned by slender branches. Carved by hand from seasoned African African rubberwood, it is the expert handiwork of Abdul Aziz Mohamadu. "This mask is used by the Gonja people of Northern Ghana," he explains. "It is used to protect their forest, which they believe is the resting place of their ancestors." Named Koholo – a Gonja word that means "protect the jungle," it receives its white coloration from applications of clay.

Costa Rican artisan Blanca Padilla designs and handcrafts this lovely trio of angels from fiber extracted from cabuya or fique, a succulent that looks similar to agave. The cabuya fiber is a beautiful creamy antique white, and the artisan works with its natural texture to from the features of this wall sculpture. Gold thread is woven with the cabuya to accent each angel's halo and the hem of her gown, and she carries a lovely bouquet of paper and natural dried flowers in red, yellow, and green. A star shoots over the trio.

The art and skill of creating handicrafts from cabuya or fique has been handed down through Blanca Padilla's family for generations. The artisan sources her material herself, growing and harvesting the cabuya, extracting the fiber, and preparing it for use in the handicrafts. Blanca Padilla hopes to help revitalize the cabuya craft industry with the success of her designs.

A master of reverse painting on glass, artisan Flora Polo draws on decades of experience to create this original wall mirror in her workshop in Peru, merging a frame, glass, paint and patience to portray the warmth of her country. Peru's summery stylistic origins lie in the fusion of local indigenous and southern European cultures, especially visible in this wall mirror, which incorporates reverse painting on glass, a technique brought from Europe, with floral styles typical of local Peruvian art, crowned by golden borders and a rich turquoise hue nostalgic of the warm Mediterranean climate.
