The artisan uses paint to give it an aged, rugged appearance, and decorates the ancestor's face with tassel earrings and a carved cingelyengelye mark on the forehead, representing the creator god Nzambi.

An addition to my Indonesian masks collection

An unbelievable wood carving mask. I have Janger dancer masks and other masks made in Indonesia. Itâ€™s a beautiful, intricate details wood carving. It is now adorned our formal dining room, together with my other hand made items from Indonesia and other countries. I am originally from Indonesia, so I am familiar with the wood carving.

Perfect for my renovation
