Inspired by the biodiversity of her native Peru, Eleodora Salvatierra creates this amazing cotton applique wall hanging. It showcases the folk art tradition called arpillera, where colorful three-dimensional scenes are created from fabric. The beautifully-detailed wall hanging depicts rural life in the Andes as the sun rises over the mountains.

This wonderful cotton blend wall hanging is the original creation of Leonor Quispe in Peru. She works in the traditional folk art of arpillera, using applique to create the scene of a farmer with his herds of sheep and llamas. A brilliant sun shines over the scene, and two Andean condors soar overhead.
