A border of avocado gives way to colorful, geometric stripes and a central panel that beautifies the body of of this traditional dhurrie rug from India. Local artisans determine the design and then diligently hand-weave the rug of wool yarns through a process that takes up to five days to complete. Finished with tiny fringes at each end, the dhurrie makes a vibrant entrance into any home.

“Striking colors!”

“Even more beautiful”

The rug is in my front hall next to a staircase. Its even more beautiful than appears in the photos. One of the thin stripes is a lovely dark red. Very high quality, lights up the whole room. Thank you, Mr. Sethi!
