The contrast of black on white covers the harsh features of a personage known as "The Commander." Resembling an eagle, the face suggests one who must be far-seeing. Marcílio Barroco creates the classic character from the 16th century Italian commedia dell'arte as a brilliant mask. He molds the mask from leather and paints it by hand; his signature is a symbol. It features an elastic band.
