Sumptuous brocades adorned with gleaming bronze leaf envelop the Virgin and Saint Joseph, and both are enthralled by little Jesus, who pets a lamb. Christ is known as the Good Shepherd, a metaphor taken from the gospel and prefigured in the Psalms. Representing unblemished sacrifice, modesty and innocence, the lamb became a symbol of Jesus during the first century A.D.
The portrait emulates classic religious art from Cuzco's city's and monasteries.
Titled "Sagrada Familia" in Spanish.

This painting was bought for a House of Prayer in Ireland.. Here is their review. This is a beautiful artistic piece and depicts the apparition as it was. The colours are very vivid and we love how it was painted to look old. Very happy with the purchase Thank you Fernando , your artistic gift is well appreciated.

The face draws you in and the Andean style with the gold is absolutely beautiful. It is also at a great price. Framing is costing more than the icon. Highly recommended.
