Earthen tones of red and brown create the faint perspectives of this dramatic vision. Sugarloaf Mountain rises above Guanabara Bay, vertically contrasting the placid seascape of Rio de Janeiro. Its peak is only reached by cable car, as seen here, arriving from the smaller Urca Hill. A fine example of the photographic magic of Mauro Fichman.
