Lovely but a little fragile”

I loved these coasters. The carving was very beautiful. One broke after falling about 2 feet to the floor. I think thats just the nature of soapstone. If it had fell on carpet, it might have been OK. Recommended in the right environment.

Second elephant art purchased from Gulam”

Precious piece and worried about arriving safe and sound. Relieved packaging was so secure took me removal of several layers of wrapping to get to box! Superb crafting of many elephants (my favorite creature) and love round design and substantial weight and size. Only disappointment is not off-white or ecru color as shown online, but a much darker brown or grayish shade. Nevertheless, love his work. Wish Gulam could bring back dyed/colored soapstone that he used to craft years ago. I have one of his pieces of a soapstone multi-colored elephant small box which I truly treasure.
