Inspired by the story of Trunyan Cemetery, this pair of stud earrings is hand-carved of bone to depict grinning skulls. Trunyan Cemetery is located in Bali, where locals perform open air burials in bamboo cages around a fragrant tree. The earrings adorn the wearer on posts of sterling silver.

The detail in these is amazing. They are small but amazingly detailed and you cant always tell they are skulls unless you really look at them, so I only creep out the observant. I wear them all the time, not just in October.

These are amazingly detailed and beautifully crafted. They came faster than estimated, well in time for Christmas.

I may be writing this review in the middle of October, but these were not a Halloween purposed purchase. They are exquisite in the gentle touch required to carve these skulls, by hand, and not detail is remiss. I do have a fondness for skulls, inasmuch that I have a congenital disorder known as Chiari 1 Malformation (and accompanying syringomyelia). It sounds strange to say Im learning to embrace my skull, but I am. Im managing my symptoms, and I dont mind telling others about it as they inquire, and I just simply find these skulls stunning.

I just love the owl and what it stands for. This is an amazingly delicate pendant for the carving to be so detailed. When not wearing, I keep it hanging in my car.

The pendant is wonderfully made. The first thing I noticed about the octopus was some of its tenticles were balanced on its head. I loved that because it made it more friendly looking than menacing. I was so excited to receive it.
