A sterling silver teardrop with lacy openwork patterns hosts a sleek blue enameled globe inside. It chimes like a small bell. Ketut Sulastri crafts the necklace by hand with polished spheres of amazonite along the long silver chain.

Also called "angel necklaces" and "harmony balls," Such necklaces are often worn by pregnant women in Bali and also in Mexico. The chain lets the pendant reach to the belly and the delicate sounds are thought to soothe the mother and the baby she is carrying. Some believe it summons a guardian angel, thus making it a symbol of loving protection.

“Ive wanted this piece for a long time!!”

Ive had this on my wishlist for awhile and finally got it for Christmas. It is very long (meant to be at your belly). Im not pregnant as these are usually meant for pregnant women and their little babies but I still love it and think its a wonderful addition to my jewelry collection. The chain is feminine but still sturdy and the beads and charm are lovely. It does chime as the pendant moves. I love it!!

“Beautiful and understated”
