Details

Guatemala's Zandra Lorena Sajbin designs a pendant of extraordinary beauty in honor of Maya astronomy. She crafts the pendant by hand with sterling silver featuring the quetzal bird and a temple over the light 'apple' green jade side of the pendant. The dark green side features a Maya lord. Maya astronomers sought to predict eclipses, which they likened to the galaxy taking a breath and which influenced the human conscience.
