A chalice, a tongue of fire, wheat, grapes and fish all symbolize the words of Jesus. By members of the God's Seed Cooperative, this delightful cross is crafted of pinewood and painted by hand. "We were inspired by the verse that says, 'I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst... Whoever partakes of this bread will live forever... Whoever eats my body and drinks my blood will remain in me, and I in them.' This comes from John 6:35, 51 and 56. All the motifs refer to the Eucharist," the artisans confide.
