Kali ma takes the form of an angry goddess in this Madhubani painting by Devendra Kumar Jha. According to Hindu mysticism, Lord Shiva is the creator while his consort Kali is the destroyer. She dances on her prostrate husband while holding the heads of demons. The artist creates these powerful images using crushed wet rice and natural colors on handmade paper.
