In Southeast Asia it is said that when Buddha's mother was about to give birth, she dreamt a white elephant came to her offering a lotus, symbol of purity and knowledge. Ive placed this item on various tables and shelves in the house. It can go anywhere and I have a lot of decor and switch things around from time to time. I think its finally found its home, along with some other objets dart, atop curio cabinet filled with ocean related items, large shells, etc. It does not need to be with other art of the same style. I have not yet used it as a teapot, I keep forgetting.

This is a gorgeous piece. Love the light blue color. My cousin is into tea parties and has a collection of teapots. I figured this would be a great gift for her. This will stand out in her collection. She received this and it was well intact. Nothing was broken. She loves it !
