This magnificent hand carved sese wood mask is a powerful representation of prosperity. Ghanaian artisan Kwasi George names this mask Mokolade, a Yoruba word meaning "I have brought wealth." A parrot sits between the horns of the mask's headdress while a prominent brow and beard add to the striking appearance of the mask.

This is a gorgeously carved crow that is very special to me! The sculpture itself is actually bigger than I expected, and looks so wonderful next to our indoor plants. It feels indebted to nature and also a celebration of crows ? their wonderfully unique, crafty and inquisitive personalities, not to mention their beauty. Traditionally carved and expertly crafted, there are many details like the intricate feather carvings that do not interfere with how smooth and sleek the sculpture itself is. Thank you so much to Kwasi George for this beautiful gift.
