Guatemalan artisan Felix Carballo crafts this artistic ocarina out of ceramic with splashes of brick and azure colors. Inspired by fond childhood memories of watching dragonflies in his garden, this ocarina is skillfully shaped to resemble a dragonfly, a creative modern interpretation of a traditional ocarina. The ocarina is one of the oldest instruments and is played in a similar manner to the flute.

Wow! What a wonderful surprise! Adorable! It s beautifully made, with the colouring, the details on the scales and fins, the perfect shape and finish. It fits in my hands perfectly, is about 4” x 6” x 2”, and makes a haunting, pretty sound, like a mourning dove. I m so glad I purchased this piece because it s nice to look at and makes me happy. Thank you Mr. Carballo. I love your work!

The ocarina is beautiful, but does not do a whole lot in terms of sound.
