Ketut Sandi works with cempaka wood, masterfully carving by hand the composition in low relief with amazing detail. Nagasari trees blossom throughout Bali and Java, where they are regarded as sacred. The wood from the tree is used for protection against black magic, lightning, and dangerous animals.

“very nice attention to detail and skillfully crafted”
