Resting her head sleepily on her mother's back, a baby accompanies her mother in her daily chores. "I designed this wall panel in honor of mothers who have a very critical role in family and cultural traditions," confides Kennedy K. Aseidu. Family and motherhood is highly prized throughout Africa, and mothers keep their babies close to them while performing their daily tasks, including deftly balancing a pot on their head and their baby strapped to their back with their shawls. Aseidu carves this amazing wall sculpture by hand from sese wood, bringing it to life with painted details.

Comes in very handy for an extra seat or step-stool. But is excellently crafted and a great decorating accent piece.
