This arresting mask in contrasting hues of red, white, and black is the creation of West African artisan Sinclair Yao Daley. Hand carved in local sese wood, the round mask features patterns that zig-zag playfully between colors. The mask is called Bobo, named after a tribe from Burkina Faso who use masks as decoration during their festive seasons.
