Gold-Tone Rose Sacred Heart White Wood Wall Sculpture, "White Rose Heart"

Carved from pinewood, this petite wall plaque shares imagery from the Christian faith. It is inspired by the Sacred Heart. A symbol of Christ's love for man, the Sacred Heart was first venerated in 11th-century monasteries. Metal inlays depict white roses with golden edges — the rose is thought to be the favorite flower of the Virgin Mary, while white roses as symbols of her joys. Jaime Hernandez crafts the reverent wall sculpture by hand.
