Cotton Shawl with White and Black Lotus Motifs from India, "Amazing Lily"

Fringe with glass beads adorns the ends of this beautiful cotton shawl in eggshell-white. Seetu Sewani presents the wrap in an effort to empower more specialized artisans in her country, adding lotus flower motifs in coal black and metallic gold. She works in India's age-old technique of block printing, where the designs are applied by hand with stamps carved from wood.
