The last moments of a human and the first glimpses of a messiah were witnessed by the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus Christ prayed for his destiny. This cedarwood relief panel, by Peruvian artisan Javier Ramirez, depicts the divine scene through hand-carved details in a warm palette. Symbolizing the holy spirit that lives inside each human, the artwork shines with bronze leaf accents.
The piece is titled Jesús en el huerto in Spanish and has a metal hook on the back.
