Hand-carved from regional albesia wood, this mancala board is covered in vivid colors and intricately designed motifs. Balinese artist Gunadi utilizes parang batik, one of the oldest batik motifs in Indonesia. Parang comes from the word pereng which means slope. Perengan depicts a diagonal line descending from high to low. The unbroken intertwining S motifs symbolize continuity.

These are bigger than expected. Absolutely beautiful. Not very heavy so branches of tree are not weighted down. The design work is stellar. I highly recommend this artist, he is very talented. You will not be disappointed with his work.

I like the unique shape of these coasters and the exotic paint design. Only wish there was a lip on the edge so the glass will not feel like it is going to slip off.
