Hand-carved of sese wood, the beautiful adinkra symbol Asase Ye Duru forms the pendant of this necklace from Ghana. Asase Ye Duru means "the earth has weight," and signifies the divinity of Mother Earth. Ghanaian artisan Ali Mohammed creates the necklace, selecting beads of wood and recycled plastic to flank the pendant. The pendant adorns the neck on cord that adjusts with a sliding knot.
