Beautiful and Right-Sized

I've always wanted a geode, but many (most) are too large and heavy. This is the perfect size for me, and, most important, fits on my very narrow mantel. I love the color, and it's polished to perfection.

I almost hope my mom doesn’t like it...

...so I can keep it! This is a contemporary take on a glass bird. Rather than going for realism, it’s not textured like feathers not all the primary color of the bird. There are areas of canary yellow glass inside the clear glass. Sometimes simplicity is still very cool. My mom collects glass and a few ceramic birds, but this one will be unique. If she loves it, great! If she doesn’t love it, I’ll happily keep it and I am honestly have enough tchotchkes!
