Balinese artisan Aricadia paints an intriguing portrait of an expectant mother surrounded by gentle white doves, a symbol of peace. "Blue represents the sky and yellow is the grain of wheat that grows in the ground. All move as desired, without pollution and war. All went as desired without pollution and war. Just like the doves that welcome him where all babies will be born with cries of happiness, not sadness.

Bali's Aricadia creates a fascinating composition full of symbolism. He depicts a tall, muscular man surrounded by white doves removing bullets and land mines from a war zone. Jayaprana and Layonsari are forever reunited in this hand-carved backgammon set by Ketut Sandi. According to legend, the king was mad with desire for Layonsari, and so had her husband, Jayaprana, killed. Rather than submit to the monarch, Layonsari killed herself, and joined her beloved husband in heaven. The artisan's expertise is evident in the detailed and expressive images of the eternal lovers. He uses manual tools to carve the portraits from native cempaka wood. The checkers and dice are all carved by hand as well; the lighter pieces are carved from the external part of the wood.

India's Pranav Gupta and a skilled artisan team work together to create a regal home accent for those in love with classic eras and elegance. This exquisite ottoman features a sophisticated cotton design that combines floral and traditional details with a gorgeous palette of red and brown hues. The comfortable cushion rests on four acacia wood legs carved in a modern style, while iron rivets and wooden accents complete the structure's sturdiness.

Designed by Shashi Sehgal, this lovely set of bed linens tells a story of ancient life in India. Herders guided their flocks to graze in lush grasslands bordering the Thar Desert. For coverlets, the women created quilts of layered fabric, stitched by hand in a technique known as gudri-making or hand quilting. This set of quilt and two pillow shams is created in the same way of cotton voile.

The quilt is reversible and the motifs are created with block prints, applied by hand in blue on ivory. One side depicts foliage and flowers in a pattern named "Cool March," for chilly evenings in early spring. On the reverse side as well as the shams, neat rows of flowers represent the unbroken lineage of tradition handed down over generations. Finished with piping, the edges are scalloped and the stitching is done by hand.

A zipper at the bottom of the shams opens them to insert the cushions.
