Motivated by this custom, artist Emmanuel Atiemoh Yeboah puts his talent into practise and creates this cotton batik wall art, whose stars, moon details and geometric motifs in vibrant hues represent the souls born on Wednesday, the day of those who connect with knowledge.

Inspired by the distinctive azulejo style of glazed tilework representative of the Iberian Peninsula, Peruvian artist Asunta Pelaez merges the colonial influences of the centuries-old reverse painted glass technique with a consciously distorted perspective. Pelaez paints her multicolour geometric design in honour of the Convent of Santo Domingo, Lima on the reverse side of a pane of glass that she places in a white-painted wooden frame.

He works on a traditional loom with wool hand-weave this tapestry, which features a colorful geometric zigzag with hummingbird patterns. For the artist, hummingbirds carry a very powerful spiritual significance. White fringe dangles from the bottom of this tapestry.

Mexican artist Rommy goes back to the roots of the country and depicts one of the mystic seals found in the ancestral pre-Columbian complexes. Working with acrylic and a palette of pink, green, brown and red hues, the artisan captures the essence of the native regional cultures, creating a captivating wall hanging with leather loops for an easy setting.
