Uzbek Hand-Painted Ceramic Duck-Shaped Whistling Vessel, "Duck Sounds"

Serving both a decorative and a utilitarian purpose, this ceramic duck-shaped whistling vessel is exquisitely painted by hand with oxides and pigments. Handcrafted by artisans of the Hunarmand Association in Uzbekistan, the vessel has a handle, two holes and lovely floral and leaf designs in blue and green. This splendid accessory is made following the ceramic techniques from the city of Rishton, renowned for its natural and eco-friendly ishkor glaze made from ashes of gulyak grass.
