This rugged digger is sculpted by Mexico's Armando Ramírez from an intriguing collection of scrap metal pieces and auto parts. The cabin, for example, is built with thick wire, metal sheets, screws and a pulley. It also features a rocker arm from a car's ignition system, and pieces that were left over from a die machine as well as industrial bearings. The front and rear shovels are forged from metal sheets, die pieces and screws.
Please note it is the artist's intention not to give his sculptures a fine polished finish, therefore smudges and scratches may be present.

I first purchased a piece of Armondos metal recycled art here in the US at Christmas village, it is a holiday outdoor village market, that they have for about a month only during the holidays. It is a village of different cultures/nationalities, from all over the world. I bought an upcycled Motorcycle piece. Unfortunately all I have is a photo of the box, with the picture of the item on it. As I gave it to someone as a gift. It was just so unique, the perfect gift for whom I was purchasing it for. Fast forward I returned to the Christmas village yearly looking for his stuff again, but to my sadness he was not there. About two years ago, I found his art work here on Novica and purchased another piece(Truck Cab) for a gift. Again the gift was a hit, the person loved it, and its uniqueness, that no 2 are really the same, because they are hand crafted. I am a big Fan of Armondos upcycled art.
