By Costa Rica's Christian Vasquez, this oval relief panel depicts a toucan resting on a branch of a rainforest canopy. Vasquez works with a single piece of pochote wood, hand-carving the relief with great detail. Says the artist, "For the majority of my life, I have been surrounded by nature. Due to my Costa Rican identity, the love that I feel for the Costa Rican landscape has inspired me to utilize my talent to translate them into beautiful works of art."
