Madhubani painting is a cultural art form from India that originates from the village of Maithili, and was traditionally performed by women. Vidushini uses an array of vibrant colors to depict a split image between Shiva and Parvati from Hindu beliefs. Representing a celestial union between the two lovers, their new form is known as "Ardhnareshwar." The artist surrounds her subject with intricate designs and leaf motifs.

The picture arrived today. The packaging that protected the print was outstanding. The care in which it was wrapped was impressive. The picture itself is brightly colored and makes me happy just looking at it. I cant wait to frame it and hang it in my home. It will be a treasured piece of art for years to come.

The painting is of the highest quality, on lovely heavy paper. I am having it matted and framed, and cannot wait to hang it in our home. The deep red background and simple black and white foreground combine to make the painting elegant and beautiful. The concept itself, of Shiva and Parvati joined as one, is unmatched in beauty. To have it manifested with such skill will be appreciated every single day. Thank you so much for sharing this art with us.
