Balsamina, a flower species native to southeast Asia, prepares to bloom on this wonderful hand-carved wall mirror from Sarwaedi of Bali. The artisan carves the buds, leaves and vines from natural suar wood and centers them with a round mirror. The mirror frame features a rope motif.

I like it! I have a cross wall and all of my crosses are unique. I like the meaning of this one. A good reminder to have Strong Faith.

Very well done, delicate carving. I have it propped on a shelf in a bathroom. It makes a beautiful focal point for a small area.

My maiden name is RATledge. My students named me Miss Rat and have given me rats and mice over the years. When I saw the three no evil mice I had to have them for my collection. I also write books. They sit on my desk where they add a little evil sometimes to my mysteries.
