It is made from weeping willow wood and covered with papier mache, and then sanded and painted carefully in exquisite detail. The red and gold box features a chinar leaf motif and a velvet lining to store small treasures.

“Beautiful to give and receive”

These bird ornaments are absolutely exquisitely crafted and painted. I loved them so much that I bought a 2nd set for myself. I sent a set to my sister-in-law who was absolutely delighted to add them to her tree.

“These elephants and their tapestries are beautifully painted!”

I recall my friend from India gave me an elephant decor when I moved away. I certainly can imagine these ornaments as symbolic of carrying one of the wise men that Christians celebrate at Epiphany (January 6).
