For the dry Australian outback and the extreme weather of New Zealand's South Island, rugged work gear like this oilskin canvas vest is essential. Its wax-impregnated material resists rain through years of hard wear. Seven outer pockets, including two hand-warmer pockets, keep all of your essentials comfortably at hand. One inner pocket is perfect for wallet, passport, or MP3 player. Snaps at the waistband and a zip closure with snap-over storm flap keep the wind out. Flannel lined with a nubuck leather-lined collar.

Use a soft brush to remove any dirt. The jacket can be spot-cleaned with a damp sponge and cool water, but using detergent or dry cleaning will destroy the waterproof treatment.

“NOVICA is tops again!”

Once again, the catalog has introduced me to a top-notch product. Oilskin is heavy and smells of oil and wax when new, so be aware. (The smell is very temporary and inoffensive.) This is a sign that it is correctly made. And you can't put it in the washing machine, although cleaning is actually easy, and instructions are included. Attention to detail, heavy duty components (snaps and zipper) and versatile pockets are exactly as described. If this sounds like something you want...it probably is (and it's well worth it). You'll probably like the collar and liner, too. I am very satisfied.

“Great Quality”

This is a wonderful vest! There is a lot of attention to detail with all the pockets. The oilskin canvas has a great finish and looks very durable. The inside is lined with a soft plaid fabric. I cant wait for my husband to get a chance to wear this! I think it will be the perfect compliment to his travels!

“Simply the coziest and most versatile coat we own”

I bought TWO of these coats last year on sale for my husband and I. They are cozy and soft, but rugged and are warm with a zip-out liner that allows you to wear just the coat. Deep pockets, a soft leather collar adn quality construction . it should last many years of winter and travel wear.

“This is a Cherished Must Have Sweater”

I loved the colors and ordered this Bolivian Alpaca Sweater, Grecas immediately in Large L size but it seemed that sweater size runs Larger so I returned it with absolutely no issues and the customer service told me that Medium M was not available but they will put an alert for my email. The moment it was available I got the alert and I ordered it and it is PERFECT ! LOVE IT !!!
