Wayan Rendah's skillfully crafted sculpture depicts Dewi Sri, the Indonesian rice goddess of fertility who is seen as the equivalent of Indian goddess Lakshmi. The Balinese artisan hand carves the kneeling goddess from hibiscus wood with a beautiful natural grain that shines through a light polish.
