Charming birds show their colourful plumage in an eco-friendly design crafted for those dreamy and whimsical souls. Working with recycled plastic, Costa Rican artisan Karolyn Cruz creates each little bird using traditional techniques that allow her to add a unique touch to each item. After adding brass jingle bells to the pieces, the artisan joins her creation with nylon strings and galvanized wires, creating an enchanting mobile.

“Beautiful bird flying to my mom for Mother s Day”

I love your work - and I look forward to seeing this bird in person next time I visit my mom. I know it will be a beautiful surprise gift for her for Mother s Day. Just one suggestion - it s listed as an Amazonian Motmo. I looked him up, and he s actually a Trinidad Motmot. His species name is Momotus bahamensis. Keep doing your beautiful art! I hope I can adopt another one of your ethereal fauna for my backyard.

“A Gem of the little bird”

I bought this to hang on my Holiday Tree -- but now will hang it in a window. The light shines beautifully through the jewel tone colors. Such a wonderful way to recycle some plastic into something to treasure.
