Designed by Ira. S, this statuette depicts the common kestrel, North America's smallest falcon. Indonesian artisans use local suar wood to hand carve the kestrel, painting its feathers in the bird's trademark polka dots. Perched on a madrecacao wood base, this bird is ready to hunt.

I have loved ducks ever since I was a young child. I have many carved ones around my home and this one is a beautiful complement to them. It is exquisitely carved and the painting is done impeccably.
