The cross is crafted of pinewood and painted by hand to depict Jesus in the traditional attire of Santiago Atitlán. By Jose Canil Ramos, it is crowned with the inscription "INRI," a Latin acronym meaning "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews."

“Deeply moving moment”
