Mexican artisan Javier Ramirez celebrates the vibrant traditions of Papantla with this "tree of life" sculpture. In the center, characteristic dancers clad in white and red perform acrobatic feats, surrounded by figurines depicting flowers, birds, and butterflies. Each piece is diligently crafted from ceramic and painted by hand, assembled by steel wire.

So this is a very pretty little ornament, and Im glad I bought it. That said, a warning in case it comes back for any buyers: when I first received it I freaked out a bit thinking I was missing a piece. he center had bent down the green leaves at the top to cover the purple arch, and because the pink and red columns on either side have holes, I thought that there was a secondary art piece with the leaves that I could not find in the packing material. Finally I noticed that the leaves were bent down and I realized that this must actually be an incense holder, which the description doesnt note. I dont personally use incense, but that information would be useful for people who do.
