Styled after a mask found near Ghana's Asuodom shrine, this African mask is full of character, truly a wonder to behold. The mask is handcrafted by Otchere Raymond from local sese wood through a process that takes weeks to complete, depicting a face with an ornate headdress. It is covered with textured aluminum and painted in various colors to add a noble, regal look that brings a touch of West African culture to any home.

Sankofa Gleam looks just as wonderful in person as it did on the website. I love the combination of wood and metal, and of course the design is perfect -- it has become a focal point of the room. I can tell it was made very carefully, by someone who cares about his work. It comes with a leather loop attached to the back, too, so it was easy to hang. Im delighted!
